“The Objectification of Women in print advertising from the 80s, 90s, early 2000s and Now” – a work that’s still in progress. The first time I worked on the stop-motion animation, I used a canvas on my floor and a tripod over the canvas. This took a lot of time to produce. When I finished editing the video, I was not too pleased with the final outcome because there was no consistency with the lighting. No amount of color correction was able to save it.
Thankfully I was made aware of the animation studio on campus. I managed to reshoot the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. The studio helped me save so much time in reshooting it. I thought I would be able to shoot the last part of my video today. I booked the weekend access for the studio but it was closed today. I couldn’t find a security guard and decided to edit what I have so far in the library and try again tomorrow at a much earlier time.
Fingers crossed that it’ll be opened tomorrow.
